President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Vice President Richard Nixon leaving National Presbyterian Church following a pre-inaugural service. The service took place before the private swearing-in ceremony. Inauguration Day fell on a Sunday in 1957, so Eisenhower repeated the oath-of-office the next day in the public ceremonies. Shown from left to right are: Barbara Eisenhower, John S.D.
